Man do I love Halloween! They don’t call me Jenni Raincloud for nothing! It was a dark and stormy night are the words my dreams are made of, lol! Since I’ve been pretty spaced out lately, I have not prepared or decorated like I normally do so here we are, last minute and I’m trying to pull together the perfect Halloween weekend. So if you’re like me and Halloween has snuck up, maybe this post will help whether it’s movie marathons or last minute costume decisions!
First up, nothing says fall quite like smores. Go HERE to make INDOOR SMORES. Seriously, this dessert takes seconds to make and is out of this world YUMMY! My daughters plow into this every time I make it, luckily. If I eat the whole pan, I don’t even want to think how that would turn out! They are irresistible!
Ya’ll know I love essential oils so a Fall Diffuser Potion post is up next! These diffusers recipes will work throughout the fall season and are a great way to steer clear of toxic pumpkin spice candles! A Walk In The Woods is my favorite with 4 drops Cypress, 2 drops White Fir, 2 drops Sandalwood.
Need a last minute costume? This year’s “mouse costume” (see above pic) is super low key and you still have time to make it. All you need is a t-shirt you can cut up and iron on letters from your local craft store. My shirt was Amazon Prime and you can find it HERE. Throw cute earrings, a colorful clutch and high heels and you’re good to go! Plus mouse ears if you choose. Also, a couple years ago I did a post on easy costumes from Breakfast At Tiffany’s! Go HERE for that post.
I’m planning on having a scary movie marathon including my favorite, Rosemary’s Baby as well as The Shining, Halloween 1 & H20, Amittyville Horror, Scream 1 and Bram Stoker’s Dracula! I’m going to make THIS popcorn recipe for my girls and will probably make THESE cookies and of course loads of candy. I plan on gaining about 15lbs. in 4 days. Also, go HERE for a list of kid friendly scary movies to watch before bedtime!
Halloween music? I got you covered. Go HERE for my Spotify Halloween mix!
I’ll leave you with THIS post on Halloween decor ideas. Also, how about a girl’s night in making DIY pumpkin masks, scrubs and balms? Go HERE for my pumpkin skin care round up! Check out my Halloween pinterest board for more inspo. HERE.
What are your plans for this Halloween weekend? Anyone have a good costume to share?
xx, Jenni
