Lip Line Eraser Serum Roll On

DIY Lip Serum

If you have lines around your lips whether it be from smoking, constant whistling (my weird issue) or just gravity, there is a natural solution.  I’m proof that the lip line eraser ingredient, Hilurlip, the star of this DIY really does go a long way when it comes to smoothing lines around the mouth out.  This recipe is easy, easy, easy and much improved from the original recipe I posted a while back!

A few months ago I posted a recipe for a Lip Line Eraser Balm.  Everyone got very excited about it (thanks to my before and after pics) that I decided to add it to my Etsy shop for a limited amount of time.  I ended up selling way more than I had anticipated and with that came a lot of feedback.  There is no product testing quite as thorough as when you sale a product to people you don’t know.

While many of you that bought it have been happy with it, several have brought to my attention that the balm turned grainy.  That issue inspired THIS post!  The next issue was that it seems to be drying to the lips.  I contacted the company that sells the “lip line eraser” ingredient and they told me that ingredient isn’t likely to cause drying.  Never the less-I’m in agreement-this balm does little for dry lips.

Long story short-this creation of mine has been a mess to deal with.  Not to mention, Hilurlip-the eraser ingredient is very sensitive to heat so making these little balms and not ruining the effectiveness of Hilurlip has been quite challenging.

However, I’ve come up with a solution.  I decided this product would be better suited as a lip serum that does not have to be heated and can be rolled on around the lips rather then on the lips.  I am so happy that I decided to tweak this DIY because the roll on is so much better.

So if you’re in need of erasing lip lines, this recipe is for you.  Not only have I eliminated a few ingredients that I don’t believe were that beneficial, I’ve added a couple that are proven beneficial when it comes to reducing wrinkles.  All across the board, this is a much better (and easier) DIY.

Lip Line Eraser Serum Roll On:

10 ml roll on (find it HERE)

  • 25 drops Pomegranate Oil (find it HERE)
  • 6 drops Hilurlip (find it HERE)
  • 15 drops Non GMO Vitamin E (find it HERE)
  • 2 drops Frankincense Essential Oil (find it HERE) (0ptional)
  • 3 drops Lavender Essential Oil (find it HERE) (optional)
  • 1 drop Carrot Seed Essential Oil (find it HERE) (optional)
  • Top off Rosehip Seed Oil (find it HERE)

Directions:

  • Add all ingredients to a 10 ml roll on bottle with a funnel.  Shake to mix.

To Use:

  1. Apply this serum on the skin around the lips in the evening.
  2. Follow with a lip balm if needed.

I’ve totally revamped the essential oil blend since this it is to be applied around your lips not on them.  The trio of frankincense, lavender and carrot seed go a very long way with renewing damaged skin cells.  If you’d like to leave them out of the recipe you can.

Lip Line Balm DIY

DIY Lip Serum

Honestly, what works for me, might not be great for you so sometimes DIYing can be frustrating.  While it would’ve been lovely to keep it in balm form and be able to kill 2 birds with one stone (lip balm/lip treatment in one) it just didn’t work out that way.  I’m not saying the original balm is no good but the fact that you must take great care in not over heating the Hilurlip makes it difficult to make without overheating since you must thoroughly melt beeswax and shea butter. Plus, the fact that it did seem drying to several people, it just was a natural choice to make it just a lip treatment and use a different balm for dryness.

I hope this hasn’t been terribly confusing.  I have a few Lip Line Eraser Balms left that I’m leaving in my shop at a discount but I won’t be selling them after they sell out.  I do not plan to sell this new and improved product either.  Honestly, this new recipe is incredibly simple and 10x easier then the balm so I encourage you to make it if you are in need of line smoothing around your mouth.  It truly is an effective product and worth your efforts.  All the oils in this recipe come in 2 oz. bottles which make if quite affordable.  Not to mention you’ll get many, many more roll ons from the oils!  They might make a great Christmas gift?!

DIY skin care truly is all about experimenting and not being afraid to take chances.  Sometimes recipes don’t work but whey they do it can be truly gratifying!

If you’d rather not make this product but still want to try it, I sale this DIY in my Etsy shop. You can find it HERE.
