Did you know that you can make DIY mineral blush, bronzer and eye shadow at home? You can and it’s so simple! Don’t let big brands like Bare Minerals fool you. Making DIY mineral makeup can be as easy as mixing powders and applying! You just need to know which to mix! And you guessed it, I got you covered!
For those of you who have taken the plunge and bought the ingredients for your own mineral make up, and for those of you who are still not quite sure, this post is for you!
With the ingredients that are necessary for making your own mineral make up, you can also make blush, bronzer and eye shadow! Besides mascara and lipstick, I have everything I need for a full face of make up with my mineral make up ingredients!

Sericite Mica:
Sericite Mica is the base of each of our DIY recipes. It diffuses the appearance of light, giving the skin a more airbrushed appearance. It absorbs oil and helps boost adhesion. It is also used to improve slip and dilute pigments. However, it often can be hard to find. I have used kaolin clay in it’s place however, it’s just not as effective. DIY Mineral Bronzer Recipe
- 2 TBSP. Serecite Mica (find it HERE)
- 1/2 TBSP. Titanium Dioxide (find it HERE)
- 1 tsp. Brown Iron Oxide (find it HERE)
- 1/8 tsp. Yellow Iron Oxide (optional) (find it HERE) *some skin tones don’t need it.
- 1/4 tsp. gold mica powder (optional) (find it HERE)
DIY Mineral Blush Recipe
- 2 TBSP. Serecite Mica (find it HERE)
- 1/2 TBSP. Titanium Dioxide (find it HERE)
- 1 tsp. Red Iron Oxide (find it HERE)
- 1/4 tsp. Pink Mica Powder (optional) (find it HERE)
DIY Mineral Eye Shadow Recipe
- 1/2 tbsp Serecite Mica (find it HERE)
- 1 tsp. Titanium Dioxide (find it HERE)
- 1/2 tsp. Brown Iron Oxide (find it HERE)
- 1/4 tsp. bronze mica powder (optional) (find it HERE)

**These recipes are what work for me. I have pretty light skin so my recipes aren’t too pigmented. That being said, I have to go really easy on the blush. It looks light, but it is easy to get too much. While mixing your ingredients, I would suggest you test your make up on your arm often and add 1/8 a tsp. at a time of your colors and micas.
