DIY Coffee Bean Eye Roll On

DIY Coffee Bean Eye Roll On

I love infusing oil with coffee for two reasons. First off, the infused oil smells absolutely heavenly. Second, caffeine actually benefits the skin by reducing water retention and fading dark circles. Incorporating caffeine in a DIY eye serum is a win win! Let’s make a super easy DIY caffeine eye serum roll on that will take only minutes to make!

You might recall my post on how to infuse coffee into a carrier oil. In this post we took to the stove top to slowly infuse coffee into rosehip seed oil. Then, I used this caffeine infused rosehip seed oil to make a DIY coffee bean eye cream and balm. Since then, I decided to experiment with coffee infusions since I enjoyed having caffeinated skin care so much. What I learned is that there is a much simpler way to enjoy the benefits of caffeine in your homemade products.

The Easy Way to Infuse Caffeine into a DIY Serum…

An extremely easy way to enjoy the benefits of a coffee infused oil is to simply add a couple of coffee beans to an anti aging carrier oil such as rosehip seed oil, moringa oil, sweet almond oil, marula oil etc. and allow the infusion to happen over a few days. No heat is required just time. Over a couple of days, you will notice your product will begin to have the lovely aroma of coffee. Plus, you don’t even have to remove the beans!

Benefits of a DIY Caffeine Eye Serum:

  • De-Puff
  • Increase circulation
  • Lighten dark circles
  • Smooth cellulite
  • Reduce inflammation
  • Tighten skin
  • Repair sun damage

DIY Caffeine Eye Serum Roll On:

  • 1 tsp. Rosehip Seed Oil (find it HERE)
  • 1/2 tsp. Moringa Oil (find it HERE)
  • 1/4 tsp. Vitamin E Oil (find it HERE)
  • 2-3 Organic Coffee Beans

Directions:

  1. Use a small funnel to add each ingredient into a 10ml roll on bottle like THIS one.
  2. You can use immediately but the coffee beans will take a day or two to infuse.
  3. You can remove the coffee beans after a week if you like. I left mine in and ended up with a very weird smelling roll on. I also originally used 6 coffee beans and found that to be entirely too strong.

To Use:

Gently roll around the eyes morning and night to reduce puffiness, reduce the appearance of dark circles and hydrate the delicate tissue around the eyes.

DIY Caffeine Eye Stick

This DIY caffeine eye serum is so easy yet so great for around the eyes! These days I need all the help I can get de-puffing around my eyes! I’m excited to make another roll on for friends and family (and with less beans!)! Let me know if you try it and how you like it!

Update: I recently made a de-puffing eye serum that is water based and I added a coffee bean for added effectiveness. That recipe turned out really well and is great for those of you who prefer to not use oil on your face.
