What You Need to Know Right Now About Measles and the MMR Vaccine…

Measles and the MMR Vaccine You can’t turn on the weather forecast without hearing how dire it is that we get our MMR vaccinations in order to protect against what is being called a deadly disease.  Measles cases are popping up in several states and one state in particular has even tried to establish a quarantine of all unvaccinated people as well as a fine.  I’ve heard over and over that the MMR vaccine is very safe and 97% effective.  I would like to de-bunk what we’re being force fed in the media and shed light on the truth about this virus and the MMR vaccine.

I’m no stranger to controversy.  In fact, I quite enjoy standing up for what I believe especially when most people oppose.  I’ve spoke up about home birth, antibiotics, botox, sunscreen, fluoride etc.  However, the subject of vaccinations may be the most controversial topic I’ve tackled yet.

I make it clear that I do not vaccinate my children or myself.  I’m not anti vaccine-I simply disagree with an industry that does not do proper placebo testing, is above liability, uses the media to scare people and is currently being sued for the deaths of over 60,000 people .  If long term effects of vaccinating were researched and proven safe, certain ingredients removed and the overall efficiency improved, I would be one happy mom.

First, we must understand the measles virus-it’s history,  it’s symptoms and it’s statistics.  Is there cause for such worry?  Is this virus as serious as the news is reporting?  Are unvaccinated people putting you at risk?  Are there natural ways to treat the measles?  I’ve got you covered.  I’ve worked very hard to back up information with legit sources as well as provide you with the information to make an informed decision if you still have that right.  I believe that as Americans we are being deceived.  Our basic human rights that our ancestors fought so hard for are in jeopardy and now is the time to be your own advocate.

What Is the Measles?

Measles is a virus that effects the respiratory system.  Once you come in contact with the virus, it usually takes 10-12 days to take effect.  Measles usually lasts anywhere from 7-10 days.  Measles is typically spread by sneezing or coughing on someone.

Typical Measles Symptoms:

  • Runny nose
  • Red Eyes
  • Body rash
  • Fever
  • Cough

Uncommon Complications from Measles:

  • Ear infection
  • Bronchitis, laryngitis or croup
  • Pheumonia
  • Encephalitis
  • Pregnancy issues

People most susceptible to complications are those who have pre-existing immune issues and babies who’s immune systems aren’t fully developed.

Is the measles virus deadly?  Well, yes.  It is in third world countries who have a lack of clean water and proper sanitation. This is why many pharmaceutical companies, doctors and the media can feel justified in pushing the vaccine and scaring the public.   Since 2003, there have been no reported deaths from measles in the U.S.

The History & Eradication of Measles:

The chart above is from the CDC and can be found HERE.  As you can see, measles had drastically declined before the vaccine was introduced in 1963.  Proper sanitation, improved sewage systems and improved railroads that made nutrition more attainable all had a role in eradicating this virus.

Measles has never been eliminated. It’s a cyclical illness and averages 120 cases per year.

If you talk to someone born before the 60’s, they very likely had the measles as a child.  To show the different attitude about measles, THIS article talks about how mother’s can combat boredom during the measles!  This same article showed that 1400 cases of measles were reported in just 1 month in Minnesota in Nov 1962!  No mention of “outbreak” or “epidemic”!

CBS recently removed episode 13 of the Brady Bunch but it wasn’t just the Bradys that had a mild reaction to the measles. Just for fun, check out THIS video for an idea of the mentality of measles in 1969.

According to the CDC-In the decade before 1963 when a vaccine became available, nearly all children got measles by the time they were 15 years of age. It is estimated 3 to 4 million people in the United States were infected each year. Also each year, among reported cases, an estimated 400 to 500 people died, 48,000 were hospitalized, and 1,000 suffered encephalitis (swelling of the brain) from measles.

Let’s break down the odds.  If 3-4 million people got the measles in 1960 and 400-500 died, then the chance of death with measles was 0.000125 (.01%).  The population in 1960 was around 180 million so the risk to contract measles and die from measles was .0002%.

In 1985-1988, the CDC began studies on 19,000 vaccinated children finding that 42% of them had contracted measles despite the vaccine.  This was what prompted an extra shot (booster) to be introduced.

Causes and Cures of Measles:

Low vitamin A is a primary cause of over 100,000 measles deaths in underdeveloped countries.  In the US 75-92% of hospitalized measles cases are low in vitamin A.  The World Health Organization recommends that serious measles cases should be orally treated with high doses of vitamin A (50,000 IU-200,000 IU) for 2 consecutive days.

Because measles is very contagious, it is imperative that an infected person should stay home until the virus has passed.

Benefits of Getting the Measles:

Yes, there are actual benefits believe it or not!

First off, when you naturally contract measles, you end up with life long immunity.  Vaccinations were initially thought to give life long immunity but it has since been found that vaccines offer 2-10 years at best.

Contracting measles also helps your body fight off other diseases including cancer.  Lower risk of death from cardiovascular disease as adults also results in having the measles.

Infants born to mothers who have had measles acquire antibodies that protect the baby longer then if born to vaccinated mothers.

The MMR Vaccine:

No one can argue that vaccines can cause side effects.  You might be interested to know that the INSERT of the MMR vaccine contains 40 paragraphs worth of adverse reactions including a warning that you should not get this vaccine if you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant.

Diabetes Type 1, autoimmune issues, mental delays, seizures and SIDS are all serious reactions that have been reported after getting the MMR vaccine.  In fact, the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) is a website from the CDC and FDA where doctors and people can report adverse reactions to vaccines.  Out of all adverse reactions that occur, it is said that only 1% is actually reported.  The VAERS database is available to the public, and there is a search portal the public can use at Medalerts.org.

As of November 30, 2018, there have been more than 93,179 reports of measles vaccine reactions, hospitalizations, injuries and deaths following measles vaccinations, including 459 related deaths, 6,936 hospitalizations, and 1,748 related disabilities.

In 2015 we had another “outbreak” of measles and 38% of the infected were found to have the vaccine strain of measles.  This means that the vaccine caused measles in almost 40% of people infected!  Which brings me to my next point.  When you get a vaccine, a weak version of the disease is injected into you.  This means you may or may not experience the disease.  Hopefully it’s at a minimum but this does not mean you aren’t contagious.  Vaccine shedding is very likely the cause of outbreaks.

The MMR vaccination only lasts 2-10 years so those of us who have been vaccinated as children are at risk to contract and spread the disease-not just unvaccinated children.  Really, the only people safe from the measles are the generation that actually got the measles and earned life long immunity.  Because the vaccine is only effective for a short amount of time “herd immunity” is not a valid argument.

In Conclusion:

I realize that what I have shared is hard for many to hear.  It is a hard pill to swallow to think that we are being fooled and our children are paying the ultimate price.  I did my best to link every claim I have made about measles and the MMR vaccine.  I want to shed light on this subject because our health hangs in the balance.  So many of us are sick and we don’t know why.  Many, many innocent children are suffering at the hands of their trusted pediatrician.  While I have avoided vaccines with my children, I am very well aware of the fear tactics pediatricians use on us moms.  I went through 3 pediatricians before I found ours.  I was told my child would die if she got whooping cough and I was treated as if I was an unfit mother intent on abusing her child.  This is the time to rise up, educate yourself and protect your children.

With several U.S. states already mandating vaccines for school age children, we must gather our courage and fight for our human rights.  To force inject vaccinations where their safety and efficiency is in question is barbaric.  Medical, religious and personal exemptions are being taken away.  Did you know that in certain states, if you have a child who has died from a vaccine, you do not qualify for an exemption to not vaccinate your other children?

The bottom line is, while measles is indeed a contagious disease that requires care and treatment, it is not the deadly virus our media is making it out to be.  Millions upon millions of people have had measles and lived to tell about it and their immune systems not only survived, they were strengthened.  The MMR vaccine’s possible side effects far out weigh the side effects of getting the measles. You must ask yourself, is the vaccine worth the risk?

I’ll leave you with this-Because of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986, vaccine manufactures are free from liability but as of 2018 have awarded nearly $4 billion dollars in tax payer money to vaccine victims for their injuries.  This Act is also responsible for increasing the pediatric vaccine schedule from 24 doses of 7 vaccines to 69 doses of 16 vaccines.  To top it off, the news is sponsored by the pharmaceutical companies and they are paying politicians to carry out their evil plan.

There is big money in keeping you sick and vaccines insure that from birth.

xx, Jenni
