I used to do a series called “These 5 Things”. It was one of my favorite posts to do because it was light, personal and fun! These 5 things are 5 things that make me happy. Something popped in my head the other day that I had several really cool things I wanted to share and since it’s Valentine’s weekend, it just felt like the perfect time to revisit this series!
This DIY manicure could not be easier but is so cute and perfect for V-day! I found these stickers at Target but you can find them HERE too.
These are my V-day present to myself and yes, they came early so I’m wearing them! I bought THIS ring and THIS cat ear ring from Amazon and I think they are so so so cute! Both rings represent my 2 kitties. You might be confused at my cat status since this summer I blogged about Rosie and Max the 2 solid black litter mates. Max disappeared in July and we’ve concluded the resident owl or even a mountain lion got him. It’s pretty wild where I live and losing Max was heart breaking and I knew it was my fault. The cats are now 100% indoors. To replace Max, we got August Banks. He’s a black and white and I’ve posted several pictures of him like THIS one. Last week my oldest kitty, Sophie died peacefully of old age-she was around 22! So, that leaves us with Rosie and Auggie. That was a lot but my animals are family and it was starting to seem like I had a revolving door of cats!
Ok, I realize I am not 13 but I love these sunglasses. These iconic “Lolita” glasses are random and quirky but I had to have them! I found these HERE and they come in every color!
My girls have been working on decorating their “mail boxes” and Valentine’s for school and I found the best stickers and cards in the dollar section at Target! They had the most unique Valentine’s accessories that I couldn’t resist! With all the Valentine’s cards, we had to have Valentine’s cupcakes! Baby pink icing with conversation hearts, sprinkles and pearls on top made these so pretty!
This mirror is one of my best finds lately. I shared it on THIS post because I had already bought mine and knew it was even better then it looked online! This cordless mirror is not only front lit, it’s back lit too. It charges via USB and comes in pink, mint green and white. The tray is so convenient for jewelry and makeup (and my lolita glasses) and the light really helps with makeup application! Plus, the retro design is spot on! Find it HERE.
I posted this on a Saturday morning because I thought it might get some of you revved up for the fun of Valentine’s Day! It’s such a fun season and you should treat yourself! And don’t be afraid to treat yourself with “immature” gifts (like red heart sunglasses and cat ear rings!) because age is just a number and if it makes you happy, that’s all that matters!
