  • 1 TBSP. Rosehip Seed Oil (find it HERE)
  • 2 tsp. Pomegranate oil (find it HERE)
  • 1 TBSP. Beeswax (find it HERE)

Directions:

  1. Fill a pot half way full with water and place a glass pyrex measuring cup in the pot.
  2. Turn on stove top to medium heat.
  3. Add all ingredients into the cup and allow to thoroughly melt.
  4. Once the mixture is melted, pour into a 2 ounce glass jar.

How to Use:

  • Cleanser-This balm makes a great oil cleanser! Not only is it extremely nourishing to wash the face with butters and oils, it also does not strip the skin of it’s natural hydration! Scoop a quarter size amount of oil into your palm and begin massaging your skin.  Massage gently for up to 2 minutes. While you are massaging, turn your water on HOT. Wet a soft wash cloth with very hot water and lay the wash cloth over your skin.  Press it into your skin until it cools down. Repeat the hot cloth 1-2 more times. Go HERE to find out why oil cleansing can help detox and balance your skin.
  • Mask-Apply a thin layer of this balm to the skin and let set for 15-20 minutes to deliver a ton of moisture to parched skin. Remove with a warm towel.
  • Moisturizer-Scoop a tiny amount (under a dime size) into your fingers. Warm and soften the oil by rubbing it in the palm of your hands. Gently pat the oil on your skin after toning. TIP:It’s best to leave the skin damp from the toner because the moisture will act as a vehicle for the oil to absorb more easily! A little goes a long way if you’re using this DIY as a moisturizer!

DIY Multipurpose 3 in 1 Beauty Balm

This product is easy to make and will deliver a huge amount of nourishment! I recommend it for dry and/or aging skin types. Balms can be a bit tricky for oilier skin types even though using oils on oily skin can help bring the skin in to balance. Balms are rich and contain only oil based products so this 2 ounce recipe will last a while, especially if you aren’t overly dry.

I particularly like making multipurpose balms to take on vacation. A 2 ounce jar that cleanses, moisturizes and masks is perfect when traveling! Enjoy!
